Epic Pass (Lift Tickets)

The following is general information about lift tickets for skiing in South Lake Tahoe area during the winter of 2022

This information was taken from the Epic Pass website, and a visit to the Heavenly Resort ticket office in South Lake Tahoe.

Guideline as per Heavenly Resort ticket office, at the base of the Gondola, South Lake Tahoe:

“If you consider skiing more than three days, consider a season pass,” such as an Epic Pass.

Epic Pass – http://www.Epicpass.com

Epic Tahoe Pass includes the following Tahoe area ski resorts:

Heavenly ski resort – www.skiheavenly.com/

Kirkwood ski resort – www.Kirkwood.com

Northstar ski resort – www.northstarcalifornia.com/

Gondola ride winter, 2022 – $89/$59 adult/senior

Alpine Ski Lift Access Options

I. If you plan to alpine ski any of the three EPIC resorts near Lake Tahoe, California (Heavenly, Kirkwood, Northstar), then you could buy skiing access via either a day lift ticket or an EPIC pass online for single day, multiple days, or entire season subject to restrictions.

A. Day Lift Ticket = Most Expensive

https://www.snow.com/planavacation/lifttickets.aspx

B. Epic Day Pass = Next Most Expensive – online in advance

https://www.epicpass.com/passes/epic-day-pass.aspx?days=5

C. Tahoe Value Pass = Expensive – online in advance

https://www.epicpass.com/passes/tahoe-value-pass.aspx

D. Tahoe Local Pass = More Expensive – online in advance

https://www.epicpass.com/passes/tahoe-local-pass.aspx

E. EPIC Local Pass = Most Expensive – online in advance

https://www.epicpass.com/passes/epic-pass.aspx

If you plan to ski at least five days and not at other EPIC resorts, then a Tahoe Value Pass or a five day Epic pass might be most cost effective.

II. EPIC Pass Benefits (Adding Value)

A. Buddy Tickets or Ski with a Friend Discounts

Such benefits include number of discounted tickets available for friends and family. Those discounted tickets are known as either “Buddy” or “Ski with a Friend”. https://www.epicpass.com/benefits/swaf.aspx

B. Epic Coverage

Any pass provides for a refund:

1) if you have an eligible injury, job loss, or experience other personal events that prevent you from using your pass.

2) for certain resort closures, including for events like COVID-19, for any portion of the season that is lost. https://www.epicpass.com/info/epic-coverage.aspx

C. Epic Mountain Rewards

Any pass provides 20% off all mountain food & beverage, owned and operated lodging, group ski and ride lessons, and equipment rentals. https://www.epicpass.com/benefits/epic-mountain-rewards.aspx
